Tacoma is a mid-sized urban port city located within Pierce County, Washington. The city is on Washington's Puget Sound, 32 miles southwest of Seattle. Tacoma is the second-largest city in the Puget Sound area and the third largest in the state. The city of Tacoma also serves as the center of business activity for the South Puget Sound region, which has a population of around 1 million people. The City of Tacoma is rapidly changing, increasing the demand for real estate in Pierce County. Downtown Tacoma revitalization efforts are providing new job opportunities and preparing for 97,000 more jobs and 127,000 new residents predicted by 2040.

Tacoma’s housing market is vastly appreciating, and is expected to stay that way.
