Beacon Hill

Formerly home to, the Beacon Hill neighborhood was named one of the "30 Great Places in America" by the American Planning Association a couple years back. Beacon Hill is located in southeast Seattle and is home to various fine restaurants, a popular hair salon, the best live music venue, and a children's activity center, all voted as some of the “Best of 2012” by Seattle magazine. Beacon Hill has also received national accreditation for Beacon Food Forest, an edible food forest garden intended to encourage communal gatherings and sustainable gardening. 

 This neighborhood offers views of downtown, the Industrial District, Elliott Bay, Rainier Valley, Mt. Rainier and the Olympic Mountains. Beacon Hill is bounded to the west by Interstate 5, on the north by Interstate 90, on the east by Rainier Avenue, and on the south by the Seattle city boundary line.
