Beacon Hill

Formerly home to Amazon.com, the Beacon Hill neighborhood was named one of the "30 Great Places in America" by the American Planning Association a couple years back. Beacon Hill is located in southeast Seattle and prides itself on various fine restaurants, a popular hair salon, the best live music venue, and a children's activity center, all voted as some of the “Best of 2012” by Seattle magazine. Beacon Hill has recently received national accreditation for Beacon Food Forest, an edible food forest garden intended to encourage communal gatherings and sustainable gardening.  

This neighborhood offers views of downtown, the Industrial District, Elliott Bay, Rainier Valley, Mt. Rainier and the Olympic Mountains. Beacon Hill is bounded to the west by Interstate 5, on the north by Interstate 90, on the east by Rainier Avenue, and on the south by the Seattle city boundary line.

Living in Beacon Hill

There are numerous options when it comes to considering the real estate for sale in Beacon Hill. Whether looking at a house or condo in the area, they are all fairly affordable and are within walking distance of the Light Rail, which is convenient for those who frequently go downtown or need quick access to the freeway. There are also numerous shops, places to eat, schools, and outdoor amenities that are relatively close to all the homes. 

Many of the homes in Beacon Hill come fully equipped with hardwood or tile floors, double pane windows, stainless steel appliances, custom cabinets, fenced back yards, and much more. There are also some houses for sale in Beacon Hill that need a little TLC before moving in, but they allow for a lot of potential and use of imagination for someone interested in customizing their own home.
